The primary criteria for the award of these scholarships will be merit, determined by academic track record and research performance relative to opportunity.

The scholarship is intended to provide a living allowance; it does not provide fees for international students.The Award provides a stipend (at the level of the APA – $24,653 for 2013) for a period of three years from the start of candidature (which is funded 50% by IMB core funds, 50% by the research group).
