Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif has said that laptops will be distributed among all the eligible students across the country. He said that Pakistan has talented youth and they are hopeful for a bright future. Only youth has courage to change the destiny of nation with hard work, morality and continuous determinations. This year Punjab government will also include the brilliant male and female students of Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and other provinces in the laptop distribution scheme which aims to promote quality of education.
The announcement was made by chief minister on the ceremony conducted for the position holder students of other provinces. While addressing to position holders of Sindh, KPK, Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir he emphasized that students should follow the principles of honesty and transperancy to bring tolerance in the country and among other nations and dreams of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal can be understood by executing the resolution of March 23rd 1940. Provincial Education Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Secretary Higher Education, Secretary Information and Director General Public Relations were also present on the occasion.
CM greeted the position holders of Sindh, KPK, Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir in Lahore. Moreover, The Skill Development Scheme under Prime Minister Youth Program has been initiated on Feb 28. The federal government has decided to provide employment opportunities to more than 25, 000 youth and they would get special training to avail more opportunities. The age limit to apply for skill development program is 25 years of age. The formal inauguration of this scheme was made on Feb 28 and at federal and provincial level they will get special training consist of six months duration. During training they will get scholarships of Rs 2000 per month and training institutes will also get Rs 3000 for each candidate.
