Walnut Media has become the first Pakistani agency to partner with the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, the biggest global award show in brand communication and annual gathering of creative industry professionals. This event will be held this year from 16-22 June 2013.
The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is the world’s only truly global meeting place for those interested in creativity in communications. Each year it awards Lions to the best work in brand communications across all media platforms, and offers an intense learning programme during Festival week.
During seven days in June, 11,000 people from more than 90 countries gather in Cannes to network, listen to speakers such as Sir Martin Sorrell, Bob Greenberg, Kofi Annan, Mark Zuckerberg, Rupert Murdoch, Biz Stone, Al Gore, Maurice Lévy and David Droga, discuss the future of creative communications, and study around 30,000 pieces of entered work across eleven categories: Film, Press, Outdoor, Cyber, Creative Effectiveness, Media, Direct, Radio, Promo & Activation, Film Craft, Design, PR, Mobile, Brand Content & Entertainment, Titanium and Integrated. The winners are celebrated at four award ceremonies throughout the week.
